I have been reading on the british chanel 4 site that taking anti-depresents can lead to an increase in osteoporosis!
It was found that men who took ssris had a bone density nearly four percent lower than was found in those who did not take antidepresents. Spine density was even greater.
Bone thinning is a widespread problem that affects many men as well as women. It can be reduced greatly by taking preventative measures such as weight bearing exercises and increasing calcium and vitamin D consumption.
